Environmental Clearance Certificate in 2024

Environmental Clearance Certificate in 2024

For the purpose of issuing an Environmental Clearance Certificate, industrial units and projects shall, in account of their site and impact on the environment, be divided into the following four categories:

Environmental Clearance Certificates will be provided for all existing and proposed industrial units and projects in the Green Category (Orange-A, Orange-B, and Red). For industrial units and projects in the Orange-A, Orange-B, and Red categories, a Location Clearance Certificate and then an Environmental Clearance Certificate will be given.

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:

  • No Objection Certificate from the Local Authority
  • Project Profile (on company letterhead).
  • Layout Plan
  • Cadestarial/Cadestra Map with Dag and Khotian Process Flow Diagram (on business letterhead).
  • Registration of BOI (if required).
  • Rent Agreement (If Required)
  • Initial Environmental Examination [IEE Report] (If Required)
  • Environmental Management Plan [EMP Report] (If Required)
  • Environmental Impact Assessment [EIA Report] (If Required)
  • Copy of Treasury Chalan.


PROCESS STEPS:

Step 1: Submit your application and supporting documentation.

Step 2: Verify the application and supporting documentation.

Step 3: The inspector conducts an inspection following the verification of all reports and papers.

Step 4: Obtain a certificate from DOE.

TIME FRAMES:

After submission, 7-10 days (unofficial)

Fee Schedule:

Fees payable under these Rules must be deposited with the Bangladesh Bank or a Government Treasury by a Treasury Chalan in favor of the Director General under the Head 1 – 4541 – 0000 – 2681.

RENEWAL PROCESS:

An Environmental Clearance Certificate is valid for three years from the date of issuance if it is in the Green Category, and one year otherwise. Each Environmental Clearance Certificate must be renewed at least thirty (30) days before expiration.
